View all ResourcesUnique thread geometry
With a unique thread geometry that circumferentially interlocks with bone, ARCIS™ offers stability, immediate load bearing and superior resistance to displacement – even in challenging conditions
Inspired by aerospace engineering and backed by years of proven performance in human medicine, this innovative fastener utilises Mechanical Integration (MI) technology to instantly secure implants while preserving the natural architecture and biology of the bone.
Whether addressing fractures, joint issues, or other orthopaedic repairs, ARCIS™ sets a new standard for precision and reliability in animal care.
What is UnifiMI technology?
Designed to preserve bone architecture, maintain implant stability, and accelerate recovery, ARCIS™ defines the future of veterinary orthopaedic care.

Instantly interlocks Implant to Bone Circumferentially
Immediate & Long-Term Load Sharing Between Implant and Bone
The unique ARCIS™ UnifiMI thread geometry instantly and circumferentially interlocks with bone by entrapping and containing bone within the thread form
The current standard is a compressive device that damages the bone upon insertion, leading to poor fixation, and a ‘race to healing’ before implant loosening and failure.
Traditional implants damage bone during insertion making it weaker and less able to support the implant. This can slow the recovery process and increase complications.
Most orthopaedic implants are impacted by and experience a similar stability response during the recovery phase.
A drop in implant stability.
After placement, before healing.
Primary support fades. Secondary support isn’t ready yet.
The result? A vulnerable window.
Known as the stability dip, this pattern is especially relevant in orthopaedic applications.
It’s not just a recovery challenge. It’s an interface design challenge.
The dip results from the bone’s structural and biologic response to insertion, temporarily limiting its ability to bear functional loads
ARCIS didn’t set out to treat the dip.
It set out to rethink the implant-to-bone interface itself.
And apply the principles of minimally invasive surgery not to tissue, but to bone.
Grateful to all surgeons for showcasing their clinical and successful experience and use of ARCIS
